What is the mission of Integrity Worship Ministries?
Integrity Worship Ministries exists to help people worldwide experience the manifest presence of God and serve Jesus Christ as Lord. There is no more important activity that human beings can engage in. Worship is the purpose for which we were created and the key to the transforming move of the Spirit in our lives. It was worship, which preceded the giving of the Great Commission, and worship, which invited the Holy Spirits presence at Pentecost. Worship is the environment that gives place to the transformational move of God in hurting people and a fallen world. Biblical worship is an encounter a life-changing, personal experience with the resurrected Christ!
What is worship?
Worship is first a sincere and honest response of love and gratitude towards God who first loved us in Jesus Christ. Worship, when expressed in verbal praise, is the love language of the redeemed heart. Worship is the atmosphere that welcomes Gods Presence and makes room for His mighty acts. Worship is responding to all that God is, with all that we are.
What happens when we worship?
The Bible reminds us that God loves to inhabit the grateful praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). We know that God is always and everywhere present with us. We also know that we cannot manipulate God. But there are special moments when our awareness of Him is distinctly heightened and we are made aware of Jesus being personally present in the moment. As we align our hearts with His truth during praise and worship, He is enthroned and made welcome among us. And wherever Gods people exalt Him as King, their worship becomes an entry point for His kingdom power to enter or come into their circumstances in a manner most appropriate to the situation. His transforming presence is available to every person in every nation.
What happens as a result of this transformation?
As the presence of God continually fills our lives, we willingly and gratefully give our lives back to God in lifestyle of worship. We begin to reflect the reality of our experience with God in every area of our lives. The offering of our lives can be expressed in at least four (4) ways described as sacrifices in the New Testament. These sacrifices are not a burden to offer; they are, in fact, marked by thankfulness, willingness, and joy.
Expressing our worship in 4 New Testament ways - A Worship Lifestyle
- Verbal Praise: The offering of our lives will be expressed in praise to the Lord, verbally proclaiming His worth and glory (Hebrews 13:15).
- Financial Stewardship: Our worship also finds expression in financial generosity as we cheerfully and faithfully support the ministry of our Christian leaders (Philippians 4:18).
- Ministry to the Poor: The poor and needy will also reap the compassionate and practical care of a transformed life (Hebrews 13:16; James 1:27).
- Fully Devoted Lives: But ultimately, we find our highest purpose in presenting ourselves, everything we are and have, as living and holy sacrifices, acceptable to the Lord (Romans 12:1).
Our natural response
These are the natural response of those who experience the transforming presence of God they willingly offer their lives back to God in a lifelong expression of worship. As transformation occurs in individual believers and in local churches around the world, one by one, an army of worshipers is being assembled to bring honor and glory to the Lord.
This reality reflects the vision of Integrity Worship Ministries, to see the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea (Habakkuk 2:14).
